This is TAKE NOTE. TAKE NOTES. TAKE NOTE

It’s what we do in six words: We listen to what you want, then we make music that grabs the attention of your audience, so they take note of your message.

The Perspiration:
We’re a couple of guys that have served our apprenticeship:
Rob studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire where he studied Composition, World Music and Music Production. He has worked with musicians, sound engineers and producers including Greg Haver (Producer of bands including The Manic Street Preachers and Catatonia) and Pete Day (Engineer at Stock Aitken Waterman for stars including Kylie Minogue, Bananarama and Rick Astley).

Martin’s CV is equally impressive having collaborated with artists including the late Greg Lake (Emerson Lake & Palmer) and written and produced music for radio and TV and for the world of advertising with major agencies like Saatchi & Saatchi and brands like Colgate.

We’ve mastered the latest recording technology and we have hundreds of thousands of quality unique sounds and samples at our fingertips. This results in production values that are second to none.

That’s the boring bit out of the way: What’s harder to explain is what lifts us to being a couple of nice blokes with all the gear AND the great ideas. This is what makes us tick:

The Inspiration:
For a start, we don’t feed egos: Most of the best work we do never gets noticed.
That’s because the most important part of composing is being silent while we listen to what our clients are trying to achieve. Then we compose soundtracks that create the mood and reinforce the core message.

At its best our music is an invisible force helping to drive your message, though listen to it in isolation and you will appreciate our musicality in its own right.
… and because we listen to you first, you set the tone of what we do: We don’t shoehorn our style into your brief instead your brief determines our style. From Operatic Arias to Jazz, Country to Electronica, Baroque to Middle Eastern there is no genre that we won’t embrace.

The Good Guys
The late Steve Howell was a big influence on Martin’s career. From a very early age Steve mentored Martin, teaching him about about music technology, witing, producing and arranging music.

Steve was one of the industry’s good guys. From lugging around Tony Banks’ Mellotron when Genesis was but a twinkle in prog rock’s eye, to working with Peter Gabriel on his Passion album and helping the likes of Holly Johnson make his debut solo album.

Steve taught us not only about music, but also about ethics, patience and the power of good. Chapeau Steve, in a small way we like to think that through Artisan Music Productions your spirit lives on.

One thing to mention is that we are members of the PRS as is anyone else we collaborate with.
